Divest Bristol Community College
a) Develop an investment policy that eliminates all direct and indirect holdings in fossil fuel related companies and that encourages investment in sustainable companies and funds.
b) Immediately freeze any new fossil fuel investments and to divest from all investments in fossil fuel holdings within 5 years.
Why is this important?
The BCC Foundation has a very important and positive role in supporting the mission of the college but should not be profiting from enterprises that have a business model or socio-environmental impact that is contradictory to the college's mission or values regarding sustainability.
