George Lakey - Strategy for the climate justice movement

A presentation by George Lakey, a veteran environmental activist entitled "Time is running out! - Strategy to accelerate the climate justice movement".

George is a veteran civil rights activist and educator from the United States. In 1963 he was arrested on a civil rights action in the United States. George has been involved in many campaigns since then including the movement to end the Vietnam War, LGBT rights and environmental activism. He has developed a series of education programs for activists including Training for Change in 1991. George founded Earth Quaker Action Team in 2009.

This event is hosted by S.E.E. Justice, (the Social, Economic and Environmental Justice Group) of Oxford Quaker Meeting

Doors open at 7pm.

Fossil Free Oxfordshire will be giving a short talk on fossil fuel divestment and how you can get involved in the local divestment campaign.
