Challenge the ELCA to commit to reject any future investments in fossil fuels and divest from direct ownership of or commingled investment in funds that include fossil fuels public equities and corporate bonds within 2 years.
Why is this important?
Money is the driving force behind the continued expansion of the fossil fuel industry, which harms God's creation by contributing to pollution and climate change. Our Church must not invest in this unethical industry or take part in its profits.
