On current trends the summertime Arctic snow and ice will have completely melted within 15 years, adding 20 years' emissions' worth of heat to the Arctic via albedo loss. This is over and above what climate models predict because they expect it to melt 50 years later. Such enormous extra heat screws-up the weather. It destabilises Greenland ice and frozen ground which is holding down large amounts of GHGs. The risks here are global harvest failure, & the situation running away from us.
